The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET®) is the leading international body in the field of wines and spirits education. Their courses provide internationally recognised qualifications which are suitable for wine industry professionals as well as enthusiasts who want to develop their knowledge.
For those within the hospitality or drinks industry, we can offer the same WSET courses for you and your staff. If you would like us to host this training in house, we are happy to discuss options.
This course provides a general introduction to wine, including how to recognise wine styles, key grape varieties and classic wines, guidance on how to match food with wine, storage and service of wine, and recording of tasting notes.
Our online course includes materials and wine samples (10 x 50ml bottles) to be delivered to you, along with a Remote Invigilation exam. Postage is all inclusive.
Our in-person courses include wine samples and tasting glasses. This course is delivered in one day to include the exam.
**Please note: the online course is delivered over three days (two hours a day over three weeks) to include the exam.

With this course you’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.
Our in-person course is delivered over six weeks, class meetings on Saturdays which include the wine samples and tasting glasses. Four weeks of guided learning followed by an optional week of revision and the exam on week six.
